Magazines
For both the student of history and collector alike, there's nothing that quite cuts to the chase of understanding the core issues of the complex interwoven fabric of a society- psychologically and otherwise- as that of one of it's newspapers or magazines. This is particuarly true of the Third Reich where, whether the publication was broadly based for public consumption or specialized, it offers an almost pre-determined path for researchers to follow- from generalized world perceptions to fashion and recreation. The classified section of any newspaper is the heartbeat of the townspeople and offer clear glimpes into everday life. There are also uncountable photographs never seen before that are worth the price of admission alone, from candid shots of Goebbles with a cigarette dangling from his pursed lips to the Fuhrer giving a commrad a big bear hug (how often does one see that). Every seasoned collector owns a few Reich magazines, whether they are specialized to within his collecting field, or an overview of the Reich as a whole. We encourage new collectors as well to check out this little secret treasure-trove of information and insight into the Reich. It is clearly a part of the hobby that is price-friendly, with a lot of room to grow and no worries about reproductions popping-up! |
