If an instrument can be such a thing as historically significant, this is certainly one of them. This beautiful one-of-a-kind brass SA glockenspiel was commissioned by Roehm for the upcoming spectacular 1931 Bruanschweig Rally to be built by the finest master craftsmen of the instrument guild (Musikinstrumenten-Genossenschusstig) for the SA Wachstandarte of Feldherrenhalle. The SA-Treffen bagde made for the Bruanschweig rally is worked into the design of the body of the instrument (although this badge is actually a little thicker than the actual badge worn by party members). The instruments body, top post and ornamental ball are all made of very heavy, thick brass, it is almost 3 times as heavy as most glockenspiels made of silvered stainless steel and the brass ball and eagle on top count for one alone! Handsomely engraved with the music guild personal seal adorning the front of the instrument, bearing proof as a special commissioned work of art. The keys are also much thicker than normal and have a louder tone to them. The brass ball the eagle sits on reads; "All for Germany".

The red side tails are made of real horsehair, centered and weighted in the center and attached to bell-shaped cones in matching brass. The eagle heads on each side of the body is absolutely and by far the very best examples I have ever seen, even on any SS, WWI and early Prussian models I have seen or owned over the past 27 years! Truly awe-inspiring craftsmanship and beauty through this brilliantly perfected instrument - of such magnificence as to not be found again any time soon- or perhaps ever. Now a note on the famous Brunschweig Rally:

Besides being the largest size rally of it's day, and of vital political importance, the October 17-18, 1931 Rally in Brunschweig, is best historically remembered as one of the largest (I believe in fact 'The largest') and most brutal confrontations between the nazi party and communists - ! You can see some 'battle scars' though if you look around for them!

A very rare historical and important piece of the early Party movement, and a visual piece.
