IT SEEMS THERE ARE A COUPLE FOLKS- one recently in Canada, who did not receive an order, which was NOT insured....I sent another pkg of goods at my own expense, and THAT pkg did not arrive either. Then, he went to the Forums, so much in vogue, to discredit me-!! Unbelievable. And fortunately I only found out later these people have bad reps.

My my mail-order businesses have been featured all over- even in The Wall Street Journal- I do not need to steal $50 orders from folks. But with insurance now mandatory (as it generally is every where else anyway), the whole ridiculous situation will be corrected.

So...from here on out, I must request that insurance is required from Everyone.
It always takes just a few bad apples to spoil it for everyone.

And the trouble with uninsured pkgs is---there's no way to prove anything from either party...so...it's very easy for a decent dealer or collector to have his reputation blackmailed or soiled on chat-sites.

In the past 25 years, our problems with packages has been less than 1/2 of 1% - both foreign and domestic orders).
In the past, I went the extra mile as well, offering to split the costs or, if the order is small, cover all of it (in merchandise credit-slip).
But no more.
It is now insurance or "proof-of-receipt" for all orders.

If a photo is post-1945, we will CLEARLY note it, and these type of photos are only listed by us anyway if they come from the German Red Cross, which copied portrait-type photos of soldiers right after the war to distributed/ publish them in hopes of locating the soldiers. They are of historical significance in themselves, and many were made before the war ended (begining with the Russian campaign), but we sell all of them as post-war (circa1945-48).
(we had a fellow in Scotsdale, AZ who traded for a couple of these portrait photos, not reading the description, and was sour grapes. We offered to take them back, but he had already sold them-! So how bad could it of been..? Geez...)

Sometimes on small, light items (such as an ID cards, document, photograph, etc ) we will mail these things to you FREE of charge ( Inside the U.S. only)--

We accept money orders, personal checks, bank checks, bank Wire Transfers and Western Union,


3) CONTACT- EMAIL
ALL EMAILS pertaining to an order will be responded to within 24-48 hours...but sometimes it may take an additional day if I am out of town- so please don't think I'm being rude- I'm just away from the desk (until i get a lap-top).



4) SHIPPING TIME (PLEASE READ)
All orders sent out within 5-10 days.
It must be this way.
We travel a lot and besides, we generally only make one post office trip a week as it is across town.
Additionally, due to recent health restraints, I rely on help at times-- So please be patient..0ne-two weeks complete turn-around time.

Feel free to check-in on the status of an order, but I cannot provide a barrage of minute-by-minute email/ status reports on the whole mailing proceedure like some ebay sellers do. (unless it's to confirm an over-night, etc)

And so, with these horrid old-fashion thoughts in mind, we can have a fine transaction with no frets or worries- besides patience is a virtue. heh-heh
- And if we start running toward the latter-part of the turn-around time-frame, I always toss a goodie in as a reward for your indulgence.



5) PLEASE NOTE:
Brand new customers -All checks have a 5-10-business day clear time from the day the check is physically deposited into 0ur business account (not the day it is mailed by you to us). We are a new web-site, so once we get to know repeat customers better, personal check deposit- delays will not be a problem -Thank you all most sincerely!



6) PRICES CAN BEND---
I guess on most items we can periodically dicker a bit on price if it is anything we have some wiggle-room on and has been gathering dust.
As a collector myself, I've found it never hurts to ask.



7) TRADES- ! WE ALSO CONSIDER TRADES
By all means, as partial or full payment, and we are always actively buying and trading. It's fun...ever since swapping marbles on the playground, trading is a fun and time-honored tradition among collectors and dealers both.

Shipping Costs - Purchasers pays all shipping costs. Insurance not mandatory but recommended as we are not responsible for uninsured packages. We generally send by U.S. Post Office, but certainly can send by UPS on larger items. We also ship by Federal Express as well. Be sure to specify your choice of carrier.

>OVERSEAS SHIPPING -can be sent by all the above carriers. Please note that surface mail by the U.S. Post Office to Europe takes about 6-8 weeks.

OHIO SALES TAX - Ohio residents please kindly add 6.25% (before shipping charges) to your product total.

Layaways - Layaways are always welcome . We require only an approx. one-third down payment (non-refundable) with the balance due in sixty (60) days. On larger items, longer layaways can be arranged with no problem. More time needed..? Just keep in touch with us- that's all- keep us informed as you would want to be if in the same position.

Return Policy - All of our items are absolutely original to their period and we honor this principal with a full money back guarantee. Should an item be returned, it must be within five (5) days after you receive the order for a full refund (less shipping) and be in the same condition in which it was sent. Any tampering with an item, disassembly, cleaning, opening books to photocopy pages to the point where there are visible stress lines caused in spine and pages, removal or replacement of items/accoutrements, etc. etc., are all frowned upon and considered naughty and dishonest and will void the return policy.
Also, items which are valued more for their information and can be copied or reproduced (i.e. court transcripts, product catalogs, flyers, video tapes, etc) are not returnable. Thank you.
